Public education is the cornerstone of our communities. Stacey has a student-centered approach and knows that student learning must balance academic success, and mental and physical well-being. She will strive to ensure all students feel safe and valued for who they are, with staff supported in creating an environment that nurtures growth and innovation.
Stacey is a proven leader and collaborator who spends her time engaged in community building work: organizing outreach events, leading workshops with newcomers, being a voice for equality for LGBTQ2S+ youth, and anti-racism work. She leads with her values of inclusion and equity, and is an advocate for change in the province.
Stacey believes that effective leadership prioritizes meaningful engagement with students, families, staff and education partners. Stacey is unafraid of moving beyond the confines of the old-school, status quo—that is what our district needs moving forward,
and that is exactly what she will do.

Stacey spends much of her time engaged in community building work: organizing community outreach events, leading creative arts workshops with newcomers, advocating for equality for LGBTQ2S+ youth and anti-racism work. Stacey approaches all she does from a place of compassion, but it's been her willingness to work with people, her fearlessness, and her perseverance that have helped her to make a difference.
Stacey is a collaborator.
She comes to the table prepared for the conversation. She's eager to learn from others and to meaningfully listen, especially to those with lived experience. She currently sits on the Board of the Triple A Senior Housing Society in Langley and Langley Pos-Abilities Society. She is also a member of the Langley Human Dignity Coalition.
Stacey is fearless.
She's not afraid to act when the situation calls for it. Stacey won't accept the status quo. She's ready to engage with and amplify the voices of teachers, staff, parents and students. Stacey is a proven leader and advocate and she is ready to bring that experience to the board table.
Stacey is a change-maker.
She believes that people have the power to make change. The best way to do that, is to elect the right person and that person is Stacey.
The reality is, other campaigns are fuelled by big donors but this campaign is fuelled by people.
